Oral Exam
A visual and manual examination allows the dentist and hygienist to see and feel the tissues of the mouth. Changes in color, shape, size and texture of these areas can indicate potentially harmful situations. Dentist and hygienist are highly trained in the variations of "healthy" as well as the myriad diseases of the mouth.
